THE TEAM
BOB CURRAN, Owner/Driver - "Sponge Bob" began his NMCA EZ Street racing career in 2001 with a rough start when he left the line in 3rd gear at the NMCA opener in Moroso. He quickly learned from his mistakes and by July he was kicking ass and taking names in front of the hometown crowd in Joliet capturing his first #1 qualifying spot and walking away with the mph record. Bob ended up finishing 5th overall and was determined to put the #1 on his windshield in 2002. That's exactly what he did. In an uphill battle of Chevy versus Ford, Bob banged heads with Phil Hines' Mustang all season eventually claiming the championship. He's now looking forward to the move to Limited Street.

Bob resides in Bartlett, Illinois with his lovely wife Sue and their two children, Jeremy and Taylor. He's employed as an IT Manager for ETS-Lindgren which his family owned from 1980 till 2000. Bob worked his way up through the ranks from building crates to the position he holds today. For 12 years, he traveled around the world installing Radio Frequency Shields used in the medical field. His travels took him to many places including South America, the Middle East, Europe, the Far East and Russia. He's definitely glad that he was born and raised in the USA!

Bob's passions away from the track include snowmobiling, skiing (water or snow), hockey (playing once a week, not just watching it), and coaching his son's soccer team.
